SANAA -- Yemen's Houthi group has sent a delegation to Jordan's capital Amman to resume the UN-sponsored truce talks with the Yemeni government, the Houthi-run al-Masirah TV reported on Thursday.

The delegation would discuss the violations of the ongoing truce and the opening of roads in Taiz, the report said. (Yemen-Houthis-Truce Talks)

TEHRAN -- The Iranian foreign minister described as "positive" the latest round of talks on the revival of the 2015 nuclear deal in Doha, the foreign ministry said on its official website on Thursday.

Iran is serious about reaching "a good, robust and lasting agreement," which is at hand "if the United States acts realistically," Hossein Amir-Abdollahian told his Qatari counterpart Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani in a phone conversation on Wednesday evening. (Iran-Doha Talks-US)

ANKARA -- Turkey confirmed its first case of monkeypox infection on Thursday, Health Minister Fahrettin Koca said.

"Monkeypox was detected in one of our patients. The patient is 37 years old and has an immune system deficiency. He is in isolation," Koca said on his Twitter account. (Turkey-Monkeypox-1st Case)

JERUSALEM -- Israeli lawmakers voted to dissolve the parliament on Thursday, ending Prime Minister Naftali Bennett's year-long coalition government and sending the country back to polls for the fifth time in fewer than four years.

The 120-member parliament voted 92-0 to dissolve itself and hold the next elections on Nov. 1, a parliamentary spokesperson said in a statement. (Israel-Parliament Dissolution-Elections)
