RABAT, Oct. 21 (Xinhua) -- Morocco has moved three places up in the latest FIFA world rankings released on Thursday.
The North African country climbed up from 32nd to 29th, after gaining 19 points to increase its total to 1,513.
The Atlas Lions are now third in Africa behind Senegal in 20th and 27th-placed Tunisia.
Belgium remain top, followed by Brazil, France, Italy, England and Argentina. Spain, Portugal, Mexico and Denmark complete the top 10.
In early October, Morocco secured qualification for the play-off round of the 2022 FIFA World Cup in Qatar, after beating Guinea-Bissau and Guinea.
